2011 Deductions and Exemptions

2011 Standard Deduction and Exemption Amounts:

Standard Deductions:

Single or Married Filing Separate = $5,800

Married Filing Joint = $11,600

Head of Household = $8,500

The additional standard deduction allowed for blind taxpayers and senior citizens is $1,150 if married filing joint and $1,450 if single.

The personal exemption amount is $3,700
